The Star Interbuild Africa – together with Plumbdrain Africa, Aircon-Vent Africa and Woodpro Africa – is the largest building and construction exhibition in Africa covering industrial, commercial and residential sectors. The “one-stop” environment that was launched in 2004 proved popular with both exhibitors and visitors alike – drawing over 6,300 visitors through its doors and over 170 local and international exhibitors.

The face of the exhibition has changed from previous years and has become more customer-centric in its approach. The focus is on providing depth to the overall show and this has been brought about with the co-locating shows being hosted at The Star Interbuild Africa.

Running co-locating shows has proved highly successful overseas with visitors embracing the ‘one-stop’ environment with all sectors of the industry showcasing the latest developments, technology, trends, products and services.Plumbdrain Africa 2004 attained the highest exhibitor sales than any previous show and showcased every aspect of civil and domestic plumbing, drainage, sanitation sanitary ware, sewerage and pipe works.

Aircon-Vent Africa was a new innovation in 2004 and covered the engineering aspect of air conditioning and ventilation as well as cooling and the environment, focussing on technology, engineering and educational aspects of the industry, covering individual units through to central installations for the homeowner, commercial and industrial.

Woodpro Africa is recognised as the definitive technology showcase for the latest developments and trends in the woodworking, processing and furniture manufacturing industries covering timber processing, woodworking machinery, complementary equipment, finishes and fittings, and furniture manufacturing supplies. The Star Interbuild Africa attracts major decision makers and foreign investors from throughout South Africa and other African countries, and enjoys a strong delegation of international visitors. The exhibition historically provides a platform for buying and specifying, and also for developing and stimulating growth opportunities for business in South Africa and the sub- Saharan African region.

The Star Interbuild Africa offers visitors the perfect opportunity to compare exhibitor offerings, plan future capital equipment purchases, and view all the latest technology and industry trends.
